Chris Ochoa – Guitarist, Producer, and Entrepreneur
Chris Ochoa, a self-described “guitar freak,” began playing guitar at age 9. Born in 1979, he was drawn to music from the start, often borrowing guitars from friends or even building his own before finally getting his first real guitar at 13 a moment that set the course for his musical future.
Throughout his school years, Chris quickly gained recognition as the most skilled guitarist among his peers, performing in school bands and local gigs. His talent, combined with relentless dedication, set him apart early on. But Chris also understood that talent alone wasn’t enough success in the music world required business savvy as well as musical skill.
In 1998, he produced his first blues track, earning attention as both a songwriter and producer. This launched a career that saw him working with a diverse range of artists and eventually founding his own label, Kmoore Records, which released successful albums and singles. His versatility and entrepreneurial spirit helped him carve out a unique place in the industry.
Over the years, Chris has continued producing music for both established and emerging artists while also giving back through music education and mentorship programs. With over 35 years of experience, he remains dedicated to inspiring the next generation of musicians teaching not only technical mastery but also how to navigate the evolving music business.
